For the whole month of January, I will be focusing on cars, in a variety of scales. Cars are a great step into scale modeling. Quite a basic vehicle. Just an engine and some wheels. So once we get started we are going to learn and explore the very DNA of a car. Once we have the basic principle we can use them in ever more complex vehicles. I will be using the #thecarsthestar on social media so you can keep up with the progression.
So to get me started here is what I will be working on

A lot of these guys are in 1/35th Scale but I’m branching out of my comfort zone to build some 1/20th, 1/24th, and 1/25th scale model car kits. Building in a larger scale should be fun.
At first, I’m going to be building the little VW bug. This is going to be cool to use as a reference. Everyone knows the size of the beetle so when you put it next to something in the same scale you will see straight away what you are dealing with. I might want to copyright that saying, or more so using beetles as a unit of measurements. Yep having that one for sure, using that!
Anyway, I’m going to put up a build video for that.
Next, off the back of that cute little bug I’m going to build the original ww2 version The German Typ 87. Check Out The Post Here
The Tamiya Eunos Roadster will give me a chance to work with the airbrush and get a nice clean finish. See My Finished Model Here
Mistercraft 124th Scale Alfa Romeo Alfetta Model Kit, I picked this up for a bargain. It looks like it will need a lot of work to get it looking half decent.

The Rolls Royce will let me work on getting an elegant finish, I will keep the hood up to show off the engine. I want it to be a museum quality finish. It also going to fun picking the colours to paint it.

Building the Schwimmwagens Type 166’s with 2 manufacturers aftermarket photo-etch side by side.
The Tyrell should give me some good practice at putting together an engine. It looks like it is quite detailed so I guess the tweezers will be coming out for this one.
A Rusty abandoned 1966 Ford Mustang GT-350H hopefully with a little video of the painting. Check It Out Here
Sas Jeeps. Two of the classic WW2 desert jeep with photo-etch sets.
The Toyota Corolla is going to give me a chance to work on my gloss painting skills as well as Decal application.
To finish up with Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R with a detail photo-etch etch set. I should be able to use everything I have learned throughout the month.
All of the Volkswagen Beetle model kits will be going to the stash until a later date.
